WATCH: Biden Trips All Over WH Clean-Up Efforts With New Comments About a ‘Pause’ to Netanyahu

Breaking News Politics USA World

Joe Biden and the White House seem to be completely confused about what it is that he’s said to Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu about a humanitarian pause or ceasefire.

As we reported, about a week ago, Biden was at a fundraiser where he was assailed by a protester calling for a ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas war.  Biden said he was the one who had convinced Netanyahu to have a ceasefire.

“I’m the guy that convinced Bibi to call for a ceasefire to let the prisoners out. I’m the guy that talked to Sisi to convince him to open the door,” Biden said, in a confused statement. That was likely to play to the criticizing leftist.

Then the White House had to walk that back, saying he wasn’t talking about a “ceasefire” — even though that’s the word that he used.

But then, on Thursday, Biden was in trouble again with yet another confused statement about a “pause.”

When he was at Joint Base Andrews about to board Air Force One, a reporter asked him to confirm the report that he’d asked Netanyahu for a “three-day pause.”

Biden responded, “I’ve been asking for a pause for a lot more than three days.”

He then acknowledged he had asked for the three-day pause and said, “I’ve asked for an even longer pause.”

Longer pause? As in…wait for it…a ceasefire?

They’re playing games with words at this point. They already had to walk back his last mess. They’re going to have to walk this one back as well.

Then he also took a bit of a shot at Netanyahu, which is not going to go over well in Israel. Biden was asked if he was frustrated with Netanyahu for “not listening more for some of the things that you have asked him to do.”

Biden replied with a smirk that Netanyahu has “taken a little longer than I hoped,” seemingly to agree to a “pause”/ceasefire/who knows what the last thing out of Joe’s mouth was. Trust Joe to say the wrong thing and damage our relationship with an ally.

Why would Netanyahu agree to that? And it’s his call to make, not Joe’s. A ceasefire only helps Hamas. This backsliding from Biden only helps Hamas and splits the coalition when he appears to criticize Netanyahu and make such an ignorant comment.

But it’s about caving to the left and trying to play both ends again the middle with the pause language.

Former acting DNI Ric Grenell sums it up well: Biden is so incredibly weak, just like Sen. John Kennedy said.
