President Donald Trump was greeted by cheers today as he met with firefighters in New York on the 20th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks, with multiple videos of firefighters shouting “We love you” now surfacing on social media.

In one video, a firefighter asked President Trump if he intends to run for president for a third time. The crowd broke out in laughter as President Trump replied, “Oh, that’s a tough question. Actually for me, it’s an easy question, I mean I know what I’m going to do. But we’re not supposed to be talking about it yet, from the standpoint of campaign finance laws,” he added, “I think you’re going to be happy, let me put it that way. I think you’re going to be very happy.”

In another clip, he referred to New York firefighters and policeas “The bravest people.” He explained, “They’re right next door, and you know you love each other. The blue, we love the blue. I’ll say it loud, you know, you’re not supposed to say it, but we love the blue.”

In a third clip, the firefighters are heard whistling, applauding, and cheering as President Trump began his surprise appearance. Multiple men, including one wearing a Make America Great Again hat, posed for pictures with the 45th President.

Earlier today, President Trump delivered a video address to the American people on the 20th anniversary of the September 11 terrorist attacks, as National File reported. “For the great people of our country, this is a very sad day. September 11 represents great sorrow for our country, many things were displayed that day, including more importantly the bravery of our police, fire, and first responders of every kind. They job they did was truly unbelievable, we love them and we thank them,” opened President Trump.

He later turned to Joe Biden’s disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan that resulted in the deaths of 13 United States servicemen. “This is the 20th year of this war, and should have been a year of victory, and honor, and strength. Instead, Joe Biden and his inept administration surrendered in defeat. We will live on, but sadly our country will be wounded for a long period of time. We will struggle to recover from the embarrassment this incompetence has caused.” President Trump concluded with another indication that he intends to run for President in 2024: “Do not fear, however, America will be made great again.”

On September 11, 2001, President Trump – then a New York resident – called a local TV station and offered an impromptu interview with his thoughts on the attack, and predicted that the world would change forever. He urged Americans to “never forget” the attack. Days later, he revealed that Trump Organization employees were assisting with the relief effort, and was interviewed at Ground Zero.
