As a fan of the video games, I was thrilled to see Tom Holland was cast to lead Ruben Fleischer’s film adaptation of Uncharted as Nathan Drake. The 2022 feature is your standard globe-trotting action film that follows two treasure hunters – in this case, Nate and Victor Sullivan (Wahlberg) – who set out on an ambitious heist to steal Ferdinand Magellan’s long-lost fortune. But they run into some trouble from Santiago Moncada and his gang who are also looking to get their hands on it. The movie adaptation does not completely live up to the game’s standards, but Holland, Wahlberg, and the scene-stealing Tati Gabrielle, are still thrilling to watch in this adventure.
