‘They Riot, We Pray’: Huge Crowd Is Gathering in DC to Support Israel

Breaking News Politics USA World

The biggest pro-Israel rally since the October 7 terrorist attack by Hamas is expected to take place Tuesday on the National Mall in Washington, DC. Organized by the Jewish Federations of North America and the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations, the rally has three main goals:

MARCH for Israel
MARCH
to Free Hostages
MARCH
Against Antisemitism

The event was organized, in part, to counterbalance the anti-Israel, antisemitic “protests for peace” that have taken place around the globe in the weeks since Hamas’ massacre in Israel. Over 200 hostages are still being held in Gaza, with several Americans among them, an important point that seems to have slipped from the headlines.

Organizers of the Tuesday event are trying to shift the narrative back to reality:

We’ve all heard voices of hatred and antisemitism around the globe glorifying the October 7th attacks. But these voices will never drown out those of Americans who stand against terror and with Israel. Now it’s time to raise your voice: to defeat antisemitism, to demand freedom for the hostages, and to demonstrate that America stands with Israel.

Early reports from the rally show an orderly gathering of supporters in the shadow of the Washington Monument, many sporting the blue and white colors of the Israeli flag.

It remains to be seen whether or not things will stay peaceful at the rally. A mere ten days ago, a pro-Hamas protest marched its way to the White House and proceeded to smear fake blood on the white gates. And, as RedState’s Jen Van Laar has been reporting, a pro-Israel protester was recently killed, allegedly at the hands of pro-Hamas agitator.

In short, there’s good reason to believe that bad actors will show up at today’s rally to cause mischief … or worse.
