Wicked: Part One‘s release is just days away, and while that movie explores what happened before Dorothy dropped into Oz, there’s likely to be tons of easter eggs connecting the the new movie musical to L. Frank Baum’s world. Already, fans have noticed connections, like the “Miss Gulch” theme from the 1939 classic playing in one of Wicked‘s trailers and a shot of Elphaba riding a bike with a lion cub in a basket that mirrors a similar one of Miss Gulch (who later becomes the Wicked Witch of the West when Dorothy enters Oz) riding a bicycle in the cyclone. It’s definitely worth revisiting one of the greatest movies ever made ahead of the long-awaited prequel hits theaters.
