A youth has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a 15-year-old boy was stabbed to death in a skate park.
The victim was found with a stab wound in Salt Hill Park in Slough, Berkshire, at about 18:30 BST on Saturday and pronounced dead at the scene.
Thames Valley Police said the stabbing followed an “altercation” involving a group of males.
The boy held on suspicion of murder, who is also 15, remains in police custody.
Det Ch Insp Andy Shearwood said: “I would like to further reassure people that we believe that all of those involved in this incident were known or associated with each other, and that this was not a random attack.”
He added: “I believe a number of other people were in the skate park at the time this occurred, so I would like to appeal to anyone who saw this incident to come forward, if they have not already done so.
“I would particularly like to appeal to anyone who has any mobile phone footage of the incident or knows who is responsible for this crime.”
A resident said she was extremely concerned by the stabbing.
Chloe, who did not give her surname, said: “I look at it and think if that was my son how would I be feeling, so I can just imagine how his family are feeling.”
In 2017 a man died three weeks after being stabbed in Salt Hill Park.
