REVEALED: Leading Democrat Jamie Raskin Shares Private Letter to Biden, Urging Him to Bow Out
Jamie Raskin, a leading Democrat from Maryland who was a key member in the panel that investigated the Capitol riot, has made public the letter he privately sent to Joe Biden on July 4th. He joins the countless number of top Democrats urging Biden to “take a bow.”

What’s most telling about the letter is that Raskin politely plies Biden with multiple examples of how he was the one who told them it was not about him. Quoting Joe’s own words, Raskin reminds him that he accused Trump of making it all about himself – one man – and promised that he and Kamala were different. Those words do not match the reality we see of a man refusing to step down, while being begged to by many in his party. And he calls Trump the wannabe “king.”
Raskin wrote:
“Donald Trump’s campaign is about him, not America,” you said. “Our campaign is different; For me and Kamala, our campaign is about America. It’s about you. It’s about every age and background that occupy this country. It’s about the future we’re going to continue to build together.”
“America made a vow,” you told us, and it was not a vow to one party, much less to one person. It was the very opposite ofthe politics of vanity and self-importance.”
The circumstances of the letter being made public seem to be an intentional move to put more pressure on Biden after he has not heeded the requests of his party to step down. In the letter, Raskin sings Biden’s praises and tells him that his “presidency will always be known as one of the finest in American history.” Had anyone not actually been here for the last four years, the letter will lead you to believe Biden is an American hero. Those who did experience the real Biden presidency will scratch their heads at best, to hear Raskin’s summary of the term.

Joe Biden, and this letter as our witness, are the perfect example of a career politician who knows the right words to say but is fully intent on doing the exact opposite. This is the masquerading that we have realized as the status quo in American politicians. It’s why people are fed up. It’s why Donald Trump has gained the traction that he has.
Raskin’s letter is filled with patriotism, heroism, and talk of legacy. But what many Americans see is a man who is using the most powerful position in the world for his own gain and refuses to give it up. There is no heroism in that.
It is expected that Trump will win, easily, and Republicans may likely gain control of both the House and Senate. Democrats know that their days left are numbered. Joe Biden is willing to sink his party, disregard the advice of the people he respects, and put everyone else’s wishes behind his own lust for power. If he will do this to his friends and colleagues, how can we expect him to put America first?
Raskin compares Biden to George Washington (a befuddling comparison), and urges him to choose the noble path:
“And, by the way,” you say, “when Washington got elected president, he could have stayed for two, three, four, five terms, until he died . But that wasn’t the America he and the American troops at ValleyForge had fought for.”
“In America,” you say, “genuine leaders—democratic leaders, with a small ‘d’ don’t hold onto power relentlessly. Our leaders return power to the people. And they do it willingly, because that’s the deal. You do your duty. You serve your country.”

When Raskin sent this letter over the July 4th holiday, he must have expected a response that would match the noble character he had described in Biden. Perhaps as a dose of karma, the opposite was proven. Now, he releases the letter in hopes that it will create momentum and that Biden will be sobered into reality. From what the president is showing us, however, that may never manifest for the Democrats expecting him to bow out.
This is what it feels like to have a leader who puts his interests above the people. This is what it has been like under Democratic rule. The left is getting a taste of its own medicine, but Americans should be the ones watching and learning.
