As there are a billion and one medical dramas on television these days, it’s easy for one like Pulse to get lost in the shuffle. I have to admit that I was rolling my eyes throughout the first two episodes, but I finally accepted it for what it is: an unserious drama. The show definitely takes itself too seriously and tries too hard to convince you that it’s prestige-level television, but that is just not the case. If you need a series to just zone out and enjoy, one where you maybe don’t have to think too hard, this is it. As far as medical dramas go, it’s not the gold standard, but you will enjoy the characters and the cases enough that it’s a solid enough watch!
