Netflix has a great Christmas library but if you’re looking for just a list of all the new Christmas movies that have found their way onto Netflix in 2019, you’ve come to the right place.

Netflix themselves have a bunch of new Christmas movies coming throughout November and Christmas. These include the likes of the third “A Christmas Prince” movie, Holiday Rush, Klaus and many more.

Please note: this list is by no means the complete list just every new Christmas movie added from November 1st onwards.

A Holiday Engagement (2011)

This is a Hallmark Christmas movie Netflix has picked up for the 2019 holiday season.

The holiday season has arrived but Hillary has had a shock after being dumped. To avoid embarrassment, she hires an actor to play the role of her fiance during the thanksgiving weekend.

The movie features Bonnie Somerville, Shelley Long, and Jordan Bridges. It’s directed by Jim Fall.

Christmas Crush (Holiday High School Reunion) (2012)

Netflix Release Date: November 4th

Looking for a Christmas musical? Give this one a whirl. It’s directed by Marita Grabiak and stars Rachel Boston, Jonathan Bennet, and Jon Prescott.

Here’s what you can expect:

Twentysomething Georgia pines for her old boyfriend and is thrilled to have a second chance at love when she attends their high school reunion.


Dear Santa (2011)

Netflix Release Date: November 4th

Dear Santa originally aired on Lifetime back in November 2011 and is a romantic comedy that sees a young girl write to Santa asking for a new wife for her daddy. One woman sets out to make that a reality one Christmas.

Jason Priestley directs with the cast featuring names such as Amy Acker, David Haydn-Jones and Patrick Creery.

Elliot The Littlest Reindeer (2018)

Netflix Release Date: November 1st, 2019

Animated Christmas adventures are always a pleasure and with a lineup including Josh Hutcherson, John Cleese, Jeff Dunham, and Samantha Bee you’d have thought this is a slam dunk for the kids over Christmas.

Reviews for this movie aren’t great despite the list of talent. On Metacritic, the movie clocks in at a 38 out of 100 whereas the IMDb score sits a 5.0 out of 10.

The movie is about Blitzen, one of Santa’s many reindeers who announces his retirement and then begins the try-outs for his replacement.

Christmas Break-In (2019)

Netflix Release Date: November 1st, 2019
Aimed at: Kids

This movie would be at home on channels such as Nickelodeon or Disney Channel as it’s a very watchable and knows its audience well.

Featuring the talented Danny Glover, the Christmas Break-In is about a young 9-year-old’s mission to save the janitor after snow delays her from being picked up from school.

Some have compared the movie to be the female version of Home Alone.

Holiday in the Wild (2019) Netflix Original

Aimed at: Adults

Robe Lowe and Kristin Davis star in Netflix’s first of many Christmas Original movies and early reviews seem to suggest it’s an early winner.

Kate is a married woman who decides to go on their planned African safari alone after an argument. There, she falls an elephant conservationist by the name of Derek.

Christmas in the Heartland (2017)

Netflix Release Date: November 1st, 2019
Aimed at: Teens

This movie is essentially a Christmas version of Lindsay Lohan’s The Parent Trap. Directed by Harvey Lowry, it’s about two teenagers from different worlds swapping places over the holiday season.

Reviews for this one are generally positive and it clocks in at just under two hours long.

If you’re searching manually for Christmas in the Heartland you may need to search for The Christmas Trap instead.

Christmas Survival (2018)

Aimed at: Adults

In the mood for a British Chrismas comedy? This movie should tick that box. Directed and written by James Dearden, the movie is about two sisters who get all their family together for the holiday season but rivalries spark up making it a disaster.

This movie also goes by Surviving Christmas with the Relatives in some countries.

Christmas Survival has a runtime of 1 hour and 40 minutes and stars the likes of Julian Ovenden, Gemma Whelan, Joely Richardson, and Michael Landes.

The Christmas Candle (2013)

Aimed at: Adults

Hans Matheson and Samantha Barks star in this period drama Christmas movie that got universally panned by critics when it released six years ago.

Here’s what you can expect if you do decide to give the movie a watch:

A progressive new minister’s arrival in a small village threatens to end an age-old tradition that brings a yuletide miracle to one of the residents.

Santa Girl (2019)

Aimed at: Kids/Teens

Jennifer Stone is mostly known for her work on the Disney series Wizards of Waverly Place but in this Christmas movie released over the summer, she plays the role of Cassie Claus with Barry Bostwick playing the role of Santa Clause.

The premise of the movie is that Santa’s daughter gets sent to a normal college for a semester before having to return to the North Pole.
