Netanyahu reveals ‘new Middle East’ amid Israel-Saudi talk at UNGA

NEW YORK — “We are on the cusp of an even more dramatic
and historic peace between Israel and Saudi Arabia,” Netanyahu proclaimed,
addressing a mostly empty plenum during the high-level session marking the
opening of the 78th United Nations General Assembly.اضافة اعلان

“Such peace will significantly contribute to ending the
Arab Israeli conflict. It will serve as an encouragement for other Arab states to normalize their relations with Israel and enhance the prospects for peace
with the Palestinians,” Netanyahu added, media sources reported.

Netanyahu believes that a potential peace agreement with
Saudi Arabia could have far-reaching positive effects. It could help resolve
the Arab Israeli conflict, encourage other Arab nations to normalize relations with Israel, and improve the prospects for peace with the Palestinians. On a
global scale, it may also promote reconciliation between Judaism and Islam,
bridging gaps between Jerusalem and Mecca, and between the descendants of Isaac
and Ishmael.

During his UN speech, Netanyahu used maps to illustrate the
transformation. He compared Israel in 1948, a small country surrounded by
hostile Arab neighbors, to the modern map showing Israel’s normalization with
several Arab nations in 2020, highlighting the potential impact of Saudi Arabia
joining this circle. This transformation, he argued, would bring prosperity and
peace to the entire Middle East by breaking down walls of enmity.

Netanyahu’s visit to the United States coincided with US
efforts to broker a deal involving Washington and Riyadh, which could lead to
Saudi Arabia normalizing relations with Israel. In return, Israel would be
expected to make concessions to the Palestinians. The possibility of a security
pact between the US and Israel was also reported as part of this potential
agreement. Netanyahu’s focus during his trip was primarily on advancing this
Saudi Israeli deal, including discussions with US President Joe Biden.
