Kelly Ripa Jokes Again About Her Likely Talent For Cooking Crystal Meth: “I’m Like A Chef”
Kelly Ripa is breaking bad — well, not really.
On Tuesday’s Live with Kelly and Mark, Ripa told Breaking Bad fan Mark Consuelos how the Albuquerque home where the series was filmed is on the market for $4 million. While Consuelos and Ripa noted that the house is “a hard sell” due to the tremendous amount of fans who drive by, the latter joked, “If they sell the meth trailer, would you be into buying that?”
“That’s the real star of the show,” she quipped, prompting Consuelos to add, “Or his car.”
Ripa then asked Live EP Michael Gelman, “Do you remember, Gelman, when I was like, ‘I think I can make meth because I’ve seen Breaking Bad?’ I’m like a chef, you know. I like to watch cooking shows — baking shows, really, I’m more of a baker, which is science, which, apparently so is making crystal meth. So I became convinced that I, too, could make crystal meth.”
Back in September 2023, Ripa had joked that she “would have been great at baking crystal meth,” also previously citing her culinary skills.
“I’m a baker! I’m a cook! I know how to bake things!” she teased at the time.
Nonetheless, Consuelos ribbed Ripa on Tuesday, telling her, “You also think you can figure-skate when you watch the Olympics.”
Ripa replied, “I can. In the living room.”
While Consuelos deemed Ripa’s tendencies to be “whatever the opposite of imposter syndrome is,” Ripa was quick to call out her own “a-hole syndrome,” which she previously admitted to on her Let’s Talk Off Camera podcast in May.
“I don’t have imposter syndrome,” she explained on her podcast. “So I think that I can do everything.”
Ripa once again explained herself on Tuesday’s episode of Live, telling viewers, “If I see anything on TV, I’m then like, ‘I can totally do that,’ and every Winter Olympics, I move all of the furniture in the living room. I do. I move the furniture, I put on my socks, and I’m like, ‘I’m going to do living room Olympics,’ and check out my triple salchow. And guess what? I’ve landed it. I can land it!”
She ultimately concluded, “Sorry, don’t hate the player, hate the game.”
