‘Karol G: Tomorrow Was Beautiful’

What to Watch

Grammy-winning singe Karol G takes fans behind the scenes of her Mañana Será Bonito tour that celebrated her record-breaking album. Directed by Cristina Costantini, who also directed the Walter Mercado doc Mucho, Mucho Amor, the documentary gives an inside look at a serious artist shrouded by her vibrant, technicolor persona. Tomorrow Was Beautiful shows the many difficulties of executing a stadium tour. But it also illustrates the lengths she went to get there as she dealt with sexism, setbacks, and toxic relationships during her rise to stardom, all of which she explores from the comfort of her couch in the documentary. This is an interesting look into one of the biggest stars in reggaeton, a genre that is only continuing to reach new heights.
