Josh Hartnett escaped from his trap, and now he’s the star of a new action flick, Fight or Flight, opening in theaters this weekend. Though, between you and me, I’m willing to bet there are both fights and flights in this movie.

Directed by James Madigan, with a screenplay written by Brooks McLaren and D. J. Cotrona, Fight or Flight is an action comedy starring Hartnett as an exiled agent named Lucas Reyes. Lucas has one last shot to redeem himself—he must capture a high-value target known to be on a flight from Bangkok to San Francisco. Unfortunately, the plane is also full of assassins who want them both dead. You might want to fasten your seat belts, because it sounds like it’s going to be a bumpy ride.

Also starring Charithra Chandran, Marko Zaror, and Katee Sackhoff, Fight or Flight sounds like the kind of mindless, fun action movie that we could all use right now to take our mind off of the horrors. Read on to find out where to watch the Fight or Flight movie and when we expect to see Fight or Flight on streaming.

Where to watch the Fight or Flight movie:

For now, Fight or Flight will only be available to watch in a movie theater, when it opens in select theaters in the U.S. on Friday, May 9. You can find a showing near you via Fandango. Fight or Flight is not yet available to watch online or on streaming.

Is the Fight or Flight movie streaming on Netflix or Prime Video?

Fight or Flight is not streaming on Netflix or Prime Video right now. While it’s possible Fight or Flight may stream on Netflix someday, it won’t be until after the theatrical run and digital release of the movie. Fight or Flight is not a Netflix original—it’s a small, independent film being distributed by Vertical in the U.S.

You will be able to purchase Fight or Flight on Prime Video eventually, when the movie becomes available to buy and rent on digital, but you will not be able to stream Fight or Flight on Prime Video free with a Prime subscription any time soon, because it is not a Prime original movie. If you want to watch Fight or Flight movie at home, you’ll have to wait for the film to be available to buy or rent on digital platforms.

That said, several other releases from Vertical Entertainment have gone on to stream on Max, so it’s possible you might see Is the Fight or Flight movie streaming on Max in the future.

Is the Fight or Flight movie streaming on Max?

Fight or Flight is not currently streaming on Max, but may be streaming on Max someday. While there is no formal (or, at least, publicly known) output deal between Vertical Entertainment, two previous Vertical movies, Your Monster and Elevation, began streaming on Max a little over three months after the movies opened in theaters. If Fight or Flight follows a similar pattern, you might see Fight or Flight streaming on Max around August 2025.

When will the Fight or Flight movie be on digital?

The Fight or Flight digital release date has not yet been announced. However, we can make an educated guess as to when we might see Fight or Flight on video-on-demand, based on the digital release of previous films from this studio, Vertical.

Another Vertical movie, In the Lost Lands, was released in theaters on March 7, and was released on digital platforms on April 8, about one month after opening in theaters. If In the Lost Lands follows a similar pattern, you might see Fight or Flight movie on video-on-demand around early June 2025.

But this is all speculation. Digital releases vary by title. If you want to see Fight or Flight right away, you can catch the movie in a theater.
