Huawei has started selling its Sound X speaker in Europe and the Middle East. Developed with French audio brand Devialet and first introduced in China earlier this year, the portable speaker with High-Res audio is priced at EUR 450. An introductory offer reduces the price to EUR 300 and includes free the Huawei Freebuds 3i, normally costing EUR 100.

The Sound X boasts dual subwoofers and six full-frequency tweeters, which cover an expansive frequency range of 40 Hz to 40 kHz, complete with rich treble and details, the company said. Huawei smartphone users can control the device with a single tap using the Huawei Share function, while other Android phones can connect with NFC.

Pre-orders are open now in France, with the speaker expected to ship from 30 June. Huawei also announced pre-sales in Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, with shipments expected to start in early July.
