Funny Girl asserts Barbra Streisand’s star power, showcasing the legend’s gift for comedy, outstanding voice and true acting chops. The 1968 musical tells the story of Fanny Brice (Streisand), who makes her Broadway dreams come true, but watches her romantic life become a tangled mess thanks to her relationship with the slick, yet nothing-but-trouble Nick Arnstein (Omar Sharif). Between the spectacular musical numbers and Streisand’s stunning period makeup and wardrobe (name a more iconic look than Fanny’s leopard coat and hat, and don’t even get me started on her eyeliner), it’s hard to get Funny Girl out of your head.
