Fraud or Malice? NYC’s De Blasio Refuses to Give Vaccine Priority to the Jewish Communities He Blamed for Spreading the Virus

Breaking News Politics USA World

It is hard to say what is actually in a man’s heart. But if the Bible is correct in saying, “Therefore by their fruits you will know them” (Matthew 7:20), then one would be completely justified in assuming that New York Mayor Bill de Blasio is a raging and virulent anti-Semite. Or at least he has become one since virtue signaling and grubbing for federal dollars on the back of the Wuhan virus “pandemic” has become more important than grubbing for political support and donations from New York City’s Orthodox Jewish communities.

Since the Wuhan pandemic brought the nation to its knees as a gateway to The Great Reset, DeBlasio has targeted and scapegoated New York City’s Orthodox Jewish communities as being somehow responsible for the spread of the virus in the city. This is how Forward describes the situation:

Four months ago, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio’s relationship with Brooklyn’s Orthodox Jewish communities was solid as it ever was.

Amid a 20% uptick in anti-Semitic violence in the city, the mayor announced in December that his police department would beef up patrols in Borough Park, Crown Heights and Williamsburg. That same month, the de Blasio administration was found to have delayed the release of a report on education at the city’s Orthodox yeshivas, a probe that eventually found only two of them in compliance with state standards. And in January, de Blasio intervened to return to prison a woman named Tiffany Harris, whose early release on bail after an alleged anti-Semitic attack had outraged Jewish leaders.

What a difference a pandemic makes — at least, temporarily.

The mayor’s Tuesday night tweet slamming “the Jewish community” after Hasidic mourners defied social-distancing guidelines drew outrage from all corners of New York’s Jewish world. Criticism poured forth from the Anti-Defamation League, which had been the mayor’s partner on responding to the anti-Semitic violence with security and education initiatives, and from city councilmen like Chaim Deutsch, who represents a significant Orthodox population.

“My message to the Jewish community, and all communities, is this simple: the time for warnings has passed,” de Blasio said in the tweet, which received more than 38,000 replies. “I have instructed the NYPD to proceed immediately to summons or even arrest those who gather in large groups. This is about stopping this disease and saving lives. Period.”

Since that time, NYPD has been sicced on Jewish households where it was suspected that “too many” people were gathered. You can read more RedState coverage of de Blasio’s targeting of the Orthodox Jewish community here:

Religious Freedom Seems to Have Been Singled out for Suppression by Wuhan Virus Regulations

Funerals have been broken up, and de Blasio has threatened to lock down entire Jewish neighborhoods…hey, 1942 Germany just called with some great advice on what to do next…because of resistance to wearing face diapers and other silly and irrelevant regulations that serve do scientifically demonstrable purpose:

Mayor Bill de Blasio ordered the Police Department and the Sheriff’s Office to enforce public health guidelines in several Orthodox Jewish neighborhoods in Queens and Brooklyn, where residents often do not wear masks or engage in social distancing. But community leaders said residents have been resisting the guidelines because of hostility toward Mr. de Blasio and the growing influence of President Trump, whose views on masks and the pandemic have been widely embraced.

The crackdown is occurring shortly before Yom Kippur, the holiest day on the Jewish calendar, which begins on Sunday night, and it was not immediately clear the impact that the measures might have on the ability of people to gather in synagogues. The Health Department said that if significant progress toward following guidelines did not occur by Monday, officials could issue fines, limit gatherings or force closings of businesses or schools.

Fast forward to the distribution of the alleged vaccine for the Wuhan virus. De Blasio announces a very Marxist-sounding “Vaccine For All” campaign (the implication is that without his intervention, the vaccine would have been hoarded and misallocated…perhaps to people who were not at any real risk). Part of this program is assuring the “hardest hit” neighborhoods that they would receive top priority. Base on his rhetoric, one would assume that those communities he threatened with lockdowns would have to be on that list. But you would be wrong.

So now we have an official record of the hardest hit corners of New York, which means that if the mayor’s criticism was correct, we should find many familiar ZIP codes among those singled out for urgent care. Let us, then, turn to the list and search for the neighborhoods heaviest populated by Orthodox Jews, the clear target of the mayor’s ire.

What about, for example, the venerable 11213, at the heart of which lies 770 Eastern Parkway, Chabad’s headquarters? Nope, not on the list. Maybe 11218, 11219, and 11230, representing Borough Park? Not on the list either. Now, surely that massive Hasidic funeral that drew thousands and spurred the NYPD to launch a criminal investigation led to a massive outbreak that sent the neighborhood right into the hardest-hit list, right? Check again: That funeral was launched from the Yetev Lev D’Satmar yeshiva, ZIP code 11249. Good luck finding it on the mayor’s list. You can play this game with most NYC neighborhoods that are home to vast populations of Orthodox Jews; you won’t find them on the list.

As the article points out, there are two possible answers for this. Neither of them says anything good about de Blasio or the public health nomenklatura manufacturing the bogus rules that are being used to cow NYC’s population.

The first possibility is that the list is an accurate, science-based representation of the virus’s spread rates and patterns. In that case, the absence of most Orthodox Jewish enclaves from the list means the mayor was being both a criminally irresponsible public official for pinning the plague on one blameless minority group, as well as a filthy anti-Semite for picking on the Jews.

The second possibility hardly portrays de Blasio in a better light. According to the mayor’s office—which did not return Tablet’s request for more information—the vaccine’s distribution will be spearheaded by the Taskforce on Racial Equity and Inclusion, which is chaired by the city’s First Lady, Chirlaine McCray, not a medical doctor. In fact, the only prominent physician on the committee, Dr. Raul Perea-Henze, resigned in September, joining a wave of senior officials departing the grossly inept administration.

This means that the decision of what constitutes the city’s “hardest hit” neighborhoods is entirely in the hands of radical ideologues, not level-headed researchers. It also means that predominantly Orthodox neighborhoods may or may not be desperately in need of the vaccine, but none are receiving it because, hey, Jews score low in the great intersectional Olympics of perceived victimhood.

It is entirely possible that de Blasio’s communist inner circle decided that elderly Jews were simply more trouble than they were worth. We know that de Blasio and Andrew Cuomo are not opposed to killing people to push a political agenda. One can’t look at the carnage in New York and New York City compared to Florida and Miami, for instance, and not get the sinking feeling that the high body count was a feature and not a bug of their scheme. That said, I see it as unlikely. There is enough open-source data available to reveal this strategy, and the political firestorm, at least with NYC, would be considerable.

What is more likely is that the Orthodox neighborhoods that have continued with schooling and going to synagogue and said f*** off to the face mask nazis just aren’t particularly “hard hit.” We’ve already seen how the much-ballyhooed “superspreader” event in Sturgis, SD, this summer was anything but. Journalists have spent an enormous amount of time and energy trying to prove that Trump’s campaign rallies were also “superspreader” events, and they got nowhere (read Prominent China Virus Task Force Member Gets All Stompy-Foot Over the Under Classes Not Doing What They are Told). De Blasio undoubtedly had the data to know this at the time, and yet he made a conscious decision to scapegoat a highly visible religious minority for something in which they had zero role. This is a complete and utter repudiation of everything that the public health politburo has spewed out since March, and, given their track record, that should be no surprise. It also reveals the depths to which de Blasio was willing to sink to enforce his authority and strip away the rights of the citizens of New York City.
