Focus Brands, the parent company of Schlotzsky’s, Auntie Anne’s and Cinnabon, has named former Hilton Hotels executive, Sean Wooden, as its International’s vice president and managing director overseeing Europe, Middle East and Africa, a news release said.
Beto Guajardo, president of Focus Brands International, said in the release that Wooden’s experience within the hospitality space and his knowledge of European and Asia-Pacific markets made him the ideal choice for the position. At Hilton, he most recently served as vice president full service brand management, Americas and Asia Pacific, where he led franchise support and brand stewardship for the company.
“With confidence, I can say that Sean’s proficiency in brand management, franchising, and operations around the world will arm him with the necessary tools to conquer new challenges and play a pivotal role in reaching sizable expansion goals for several brands within the Focus Brands portfolio,” Guajardo said.
Wooden started his career as a head chef at Hilton Portsmouth in the United Kingdom in 1990. He subsequently held a number of senior management roles with the company before his brand management positions internationally.
Atlanta-based Focus Brands is the franchisor and operator of more than 6,000 locations of Auntie Anne’s, Carvel, Cinnabon, Jamba, Moe’s Southwest Grill, McAlister’s Deli and Schlotzsky’s and Seattle’s Best Coffee.
