Armadillo For Borderland Beat From El Universal
Nuevo Laredo.- The presumed arrest of the leader of the Cartel Del Noreste (CDN) Juan Gerardo Treviño Chávez, alias “El Huevo”, generated blockades, car burnings and tire popping at different areas. Treviño Chávez is the nephew of the last leader of Los Zetas, Miguel Angel Treviño Morales.
After the alleged arrest, his lieutenants unleashed a series of blockades through the city, mainly in the western sector.Users of social networks denounced the theft of cars, as well as the chaos generated by the blockades in various areas of the city.
It was reported that armed men blocked the city to prevent elements of the Mexican Army from arresting the leader.
This caused chaos among the citizens who could not prevent the criminals from taking their vehicles. In addition, trailers and cargo transportation units were used to close the territory of the security forces. The blockades were deactivated by the authorities without the arrest of those who dispossessed drivers of their vehicles.
