Driverless bus trial underway in Adelaide

Australia

A driverless electric bus is to start ferrying passengers between two seaside locations on Adelaide’s coast in a trial of the autonomous transport technology.

The Olli shuttle will operate between Mosely Square in Glenelg and the nearby Broadway Kiosk, carrying up to eight passengers at a time.

Transport Minister Stephan Knoll says the service is an example of the types of technological developments that can improve transport systems for years to come.
