NINGBO, Sept. 12 (Xinhua) — The China Ningbo Containerized Freight Index (NCFI) reported a significant rise in the sub-reading for the Middle East routes.
The NCFI, reflecting freight rate changes of 21 routes departing from the Ningbo-Zhoushan port, stood at 1,224.3 points Friday, up 14.3 percent compared with last week.
The sub-reading for the Middle East routes was 1,131.7 points, up 17.4 percent compared with last week.
Liner companies will continue to push up the spot freight rates with sound market demand, according to the Ningbo Shipping Exchange.
