BLM Co-Founder Patrisse Cullors Is on a Multi-Home Real Estate Splurge

Breaking News Politics USA World

I previously wrote how BLM co-founder Patrisse Khan-Cullors bought a $1.4 million compound that has two houses on it in Los Angeles’ Topanga Canyon through a company that she controls, that the self-professed “trained Marxist” wasn’t exactly living like an austere revolutionary fighting the evils of capitalism. The compound was also in a very white area, with only about 1.4 percent black folks.

Of course, that’s the myth. Because one of the true things about Marxists who get power is that they have no problem employing the money for their own personal satisfaction. Some are more equal than others, I said.

But, it turns out that wasn’t all. Turns out that the house in L.A. was just pocket change.

She’s actually bought four, high-end homes in the U.S. totaling $3.2 million, and is looking at property in an exclusive resort in the Bahamas where Tiger Woods has a home, according to the NY Post. Homes in the resort range between $5 million and $20 million.

She and her non-binary spouse Janaya Khan also acquired a home in – wait for it – Georgia; remember, the state that Democrats are maligning as some kind of racist hell-hole because they dare to be concerned about election security?

The home in Georgia is a “custom ranch” on 3.2 acres with a private airplane hanger and a studio apartment above it and uses a 2,500-foot runway that fits small airplanes. It also has an indoor swimming pool and an “RV Shop” where you can repair a mobile home or a small plane.

They got the $415,000 Georgia home in January of last year after Cullors’ book, “When They Call You a Terrorist” came out. In October, she announced she had a deal with Warner Bros. Television Group to produce pieces showing “black voices who have been historically marginalized.” So she had a ton of money coming in because of her BLM leadership role.

Not to mention there’s also all the money pouring into the BLM. The grassroots activists in the street have been demanding transparency as to where all the boatload of donations that the BLM has received have gone because they don’t feel like they’re seeing a lot of it at that level.

She bought a home in 2016, a few years after she started BLM, in Inglewood, California which is now worth $800,000. In 2018, she bought a home in South Los Angeles and that’s now worth $720,000.

According to the NY Post, while the home in Topanga Canyon was officially purchased by a Limited Liability Company which she controls, the other homes were bought in her name, according to records relied upon by real estate blog, Dirt, which broke the news about the Topanga Canyon.

Last year, Khan-Cullors and Khan were spotted in the Bahamas looking for a unit at the Albany, a real estate source who did not want to be identified told The Post. The elite enclave is laid out on “600 oceanside acres” and features a private marina and designer golf course. Current homes for sale include a nearly 8,000 square-foot, six-bedroom townhouse with a media room and marina views. The price is only available upon request, according to the resort’s website.

“People who buy at the Albany are buying their fourth or fifth home,” said a resort worker who did not want to be identified. “This is not a second-home residence. It’s extremely high-end, and people are coming here for complete and total privacy.”

It’s not clear if she actually bought anything there yet.

Needless to say, this ticked off some other activists like Hank Newsome, the head of ‘Black Lives Matter Greater New York City,’ a separate entity from Cullors’s organization. Newsome told the Post that there should be an “independent investigation” as to where all the money was going that BLM had gotten.

“If you go around calling yourself a socialist, you have to ask how much of her own personal money is going to charitable causes,” he said. “It’s really sad because it makes people doubt the validity of the movement and overlook the fact that it’s the people that carry this movement.”

The BLM national ‘non-profit’ organization that she controls said they received $90 million last year and used $21.7 million of that for grant funding and helping black organizations. They didn’t say how much Cullors took in as co-founder/one of the leaders. Someone should be checking that out because, given the complaints from some of the grassroots organizations, they don’t feel like they’re getting much of the money to help out with their activities. The Post report continued:

Founded by Khan-Cullors and another activist, Kailee Scales, the non-profit Oakland, Calif.-based BLM Global Network Foundation was incorporated in 2017 and claims to have chapters throughout the US, UK and Canada, and a mission “to eradicate White supremacy and build power to intervene in violence inflicted on Black communities.” The group does not have a federal tax exemption and donations are filtered through ActBlue Charities and Thousand Currents, two non-profits that manage the cash.

At the same time that the Khan-Cullors incorporated the non-profit, she also set up the similarly named BLM Global Network, a for-profit which is not required to disclose how much it spends or pays its executives.

She has more homes than Bernie Sanders, and he’s been in the political grifter game far longer.

So, when is she going to give up her Georgia home with the indoor swimming pool to protest against the Georgia election law? And I’m thinking all this information isn’t going to go over well with more of her fellow leftist activists. This could get more interesting very soon.
