Biden Almost Causes Another International Incident With Huge Gaffe At Press Conference, WH Edits It Out

Breaking News Politics USA World

Joe Biden almost caused yet another international incident. Biden previously claimed during an interview that he told Vladmir Putin to his face that he was soulless and called him a killer. Russia then recalled their ambassador to reevaluate their relationship with the U.S. Putin then challenged Biden to a live debate and Biden said he was “too busy,” backing down.

His team must be so busy running cover for all the things he messes up.

There was a big one that he made on Thursday during the press conference.

While he was talking about Afghanistan, he forgot the name of the Afghan president, calling him by the wrong name. “And General Austin is — just met with Kayani and I’m waiting for the briefing on that,” Biden said. The president’s name is Gen. Ashraf Ghani. Biden appeared to confuse him with the former chief of Pakistan’s defense forces, the retired Gen. Ashfaq Parvez Kayani. According to the New York Times, Kayani was often accused of “double-dealing and bad faith.” Probably not a good thing to call someone who you’re supposed to know and be friendly with. Yikes. Just another one of those “no problem here” issues with Biden.

On top of that, Biden seemed to question the legitimacy of Ashraf Ghani as the president of Afghanistan.

“He is the — the ‘leader,’ quote, in Afghanistan and Kabul. And there’s a U.N.-led process that’s beginning shortly on how to mechanically get people — how to end this war,” Biden said.

That’s not good when Ghani’s rival is still questioning the election, but we’ve recognized Ghani.

But in addition to his big gaffe that could have been insulting to Ghani, the White House made a problematic move, quietly stealth editing the transcript of what was said to correct the part where Biden said the wrong name of the president. That’s really bad because the transcript is supposed to be the official historical record of what was said, you’re just supposed to put in whatever was said/done. It is very wrong to change it particularly in a stealth edit. What else are they changing if they are willing to stealth edit such things?

Once again, it becomes a transparency issue, the Biden team keeps having the same kind of problem as they try to cover for Joe’s problems. So they need to ask Jen Psaki why is the White House trying to rewrite history and coverup Joe Biden’s mistakes?
