Without a doubt in our minds, this has been one of the best weeks for new tv shows on Netflix. With excellent new seasons and equally excellent new originals to be enjoyed, you’ll be spoilt for choice. Here’s the best new tv series on Netflix this week for October 4th, 2019.

Peaky Blinders: Season 5 N

The wait between each season feels longer and longer, but finally Peaky Blinders season 5 has arrived on Netflix! with 6 brand new explosive episodes, hopefully this can keep you satisfied until season 6 arrives in the next couple of years…

Big Mouth: Season 3 N

They’re here, they’re queer and they have Coach Steve in dire need of a makeover. Rampant hormone monsters aside, the gentlemen from Queer Eye join the cast of Big Mouth as they take on their most ambitious makeover ever… Coach Steve. Meanwhile, Nick and Andrew are still growing, learning and failing as they traverse through the nightmare that is puberty and school.

My Country: The New Age (Weekly Episodes) N

Netflix subscribers will be treated to two brand new episodes every week of My Country: The New Age until the end of November. K-Drama and history enthusiasts will absolutely love what’s in store for them with this exciting new original series.

It’s the dawn of a new age as the Goryeo dynasty makes way for Joseon. What “my country” means to two old friends is radically different, resulting in them taking arms against the other. Seo Hwi is the son of the famous commander Seo Geom, and a warrior in his own right. An unwavering paragon, Seo Hwi does not compromise to injustice. When his life devolves into a hellish existence, somehow even Seo Hwi can still hold a smile.

The fact that his mother was born in the lowest class, this has led to the mockery of Nam Sun-ho. Despite this, he has grown to be a smart and talented man. His dream was to pass the military service exam but after a corruption scandal involving his father.

Raising Dion: Season 1 N

Starting out life as a comic-book and online-short, Raising Dion received a notable reputation amongst the comic-book community online in 2015. Cut to four years later and finally, a full adaptation of the story has been made for Netflix.

After the death of her husband Mark, Nicole Reese is left to raise her son Dion, alone. The job of being a single mother only gets harder for Nicole when Dion manifests multiple superhero-like powers and abilities.

To protect her son and to help teach him how to use his powers for good, Nicole enlists the help of Mark’s best friend Pat. The pair try to figure out the origins of Dion’s abilities while also trying to protect the young boy from those who would exploit his powers.

Gotham: Season 5

Many feared the idea of a series focused on the origin of Batman’s greatest villains and Jim Gordon, but after five excellent seasons, FOX was able to prove many doubters wrong. The series strength has certainly been in its villains, and season five concludes with a whole array of Batman’s rogues as we finally see the Gotham’s Dark Knight make his mark.

Seis Manos: Season 1 N

Viz Media and Powerhouse Animation Studios (Castlevania) present Seis Manos. The series is the first American-Mexican anime on Netflix. Certainly not one for the younger audiences, but certainly one teenagers and above ages will get a kick out of. With plenty of action, blood and heaps of violence, what’s not to love? Not to mention a top tier list of voice actors perfectly suited for their roles.

In the fictional town of San Simon in 1970 Mexico, three orphaned martial arts warriors join forces with a DEA agent and Mexican Federale to avenge the death of their beloved mentor.
