The streets of San Gaspar in Tonala, Jalisco, witnessed an armed confrontation between rival groups. The shooting ended with the detention of one man, one woman, and guns were seized by the municipal police. The commander of the Tonala Police Dept. Javier Cabral said that when police officers arrived at the crime scene they witnessed nine subjects wearing black clothing. The nine individuals were all shooting at a house where a woman and a man were residing. The police officers were shot at by the assailants, but they were able to repel the armed aggression. Also, while some police officers repelled the armed aggression, other police officers evacuated a nearby middle school where they focused on keeping students, and teachers safe. The nine hitmen were able to escape the scene, but a woman and a man who were the target stayed inside the house and were captured by the police officers. Hours later the forensic crime investigators came to gather all the facts. It is important to note, that one long assault rifle, two shotguns, and two handguns were seized.
