Since January, Kate Middleton has been working feverishly on her “Back to the Nature” garden for the Chelsea Flower Show. With the help of architects Andrée Davies and Adam White, the duchess incorporated elements that paid tribute to English gardens, while also including fun details—a swing! a campfire for roasting marshmallows!—that would encourage children to play outdoors. And at long last, Middleton unveiled the fruits of her labor on the Kensington Royal Instagram account this week—with an unprecedentedly candid look at her family gallivanting around the garden.
For Middleton, the heartwarming video and photos—taken by Matt Porteous—were more personal than usual. They showed the duchess, her husband Prince William, and children Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis running wild in the installation—jumping on the swing, dipping their bare feet into a stream, and exploring the grounds. On this week’s episode of In the Limelight, “How Kate Got Her IG Groove Back,” hosts Josh Duboff and Julie Miller dissect this exciting gift of social-media content. They also discuss Meghan Markle’s own Instagram output and a surprising trip taken by Queen Elizabeth.
So take a break from maintaining that prized garden of yours, roast a marshmallow or two, and listen to this week’s episode of In the Limelight.
