Ana Navarro Tells Whoopi Goldberg She’s “Back To Being As Skinny” As She Was In The ‘80s — Leaving Her Nearly Speechless

What to Watch

The ladies on The View took a short break from complaining about President Donald Trump and his tariffs to celebrate Whoopi Goldberg‘s latest honor in New York magazine’s “Legends of Broadway” series.

On this morning’s episode of the long-running daytime talk show, Goldberg said she was “honored” to be included among Broadway legends like Liza Minnelli, Patti LuPone, Barbra Streisand, and Joel Grey, to name a few.

When producers flashed a photo of Goldberg’s cover for New York, Sunny Hostin immediately noticed that it was a recreation from her iconic one-woman show, which ran on Broadway from 1984 to 1985.

“That’s from my one-woman show. This is all peoples’ shows that people know them for,” Goldberg, who won a Grammy Award for Best Comedy Album for recording the show, confirmed to the co-hosts.

Meanwhile, Ana Navarro noticed something else about Goldberg’s new portrait.

“This is a recent picture. This picture is now. Girl, you’re back to being as skinny as you were back then,” she said, while a practically speechless Goldberg awkwardly replied, “I — Yeah.”

Navarro added, “You’re looking so good,” to which Goldberg agreed, “I am.”

Goldberg, for her part, has been open about using Mounjaro to lose weight. The longtime View moderator revealed in a March 2024 episode of the talk show that she “weighed almost 300 pounds” before she decided to get on the weight-loss drug, which she praised as a “wonderful shot” that was “really good” for her.

In an August 2024 episode of The View, Goldberg told her co-hosts why she wasn’t afraid to admit she had taken Mounjaro to shed a few pounds.

“Yes, I took Mounjaro. I’m not, you know — I did it, you know?” she said at the time. “I say it all the time. Because you can’t go from close to 300 pounds without somebody saying, ‘OK, what happened?’ ‘Cause you know I didn’t go to the gym!”

The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
