‘Adults’

Surprisingly relatable, even when it’s not. FX’s new show Adults initially turned me off almost right away — anyone who has watched the very first scene of the show knows what I’m talking about — but I am so glad I stuck it out. A few rough patches here and there is par for the course when you’re making a show that aims to be funny and sympathetic to young adults everywhere. While others might want to hate on the “group of friends living together in New York City” dynamic as we’ve seen it a dozen times before, I think that it’s a fun Gen Z twist on a formula that we know works. Raunchy and off the cuff, Adults had me laughing from its first episode to its last. Can we please get a Season 2?
