Netflix’s chilling British crime drama Adolescence takes a deep dive into modern-day teenage boy turmoil through the story of 13-year-old Jamie Miller, who is accused of murdering a girl at his school. With an impressively disturbing breakout performance from Owen Cooper as Jamie, the series follows him and those around him — his father Eddie (Stephen Graham), the investigators looking into the case, and his clinical psychologist (Erin Doherty). At many times heartbreaking and even uncomfortable, the limited series depicts the negative impact of social media and the internet on young men today, and how their families navigate it, too.
