9/11 Survivors and Families Sound Off on Biden Admin Pact With Terrorists: ‘Made a Deal With the Devil’

Breaking News Politics USA World

As we reported earlier Thursday, the Biden-Harris administration has reached a plea deal with some of the terrorists who plotted and executed the horrific 9/11 attack in New York City in 2001.

Though over two decades have passed since that awful day, the pain is still raw for many, especially those who lost loved ones or suffered from health problems caused by the destruction and its aftermath.

Although the exact terms of the deal have not been revealed, many feel betrayed by the administration and are devastated that the terrorists will apparently avoid the death penalty.

One former law enforcement member was furious:

“I’m disgusted. He killed 3,000 people and more than 3,000 if you consider all of the people who have been dying since he caused all of this pain and suffering,” Steven Hanges, a retired 20-year veteran of the NY Highway Patrol, who was diagnosed with thyroid cancer late last year. “That man, at the very least, should get the same that he gave us,” Hanges told The Post of Mohammed….”

“They made a deal with the devil.”

Another first responder had a similar reaction:

Edgardo Lopez, 57, an ex-NYPD officer and 9/11 first responder who got throat cancer and lost a vocal cord from an aggressive course of chemotherapy and radiation, said the defendants should have gotten “an automatic death sentence right off the bat.”

“There should have never been a plea deal,” he said.

“I’m an eye for an eye type person,” he added. “If you commit a heinous act, causing the death of not one but about 3,000 people … nah, I don’t think so. They got it easy.”

 Others remembered their comrades:

Other families want to know what the U.S. is getting out of the deal. Will we finally get a real answer on the extent of Saudi Arabian involvement in the plot?

“Our stance is clear: if a deal is to be made, it must ensure that we obtain the vital evidence these individuals possess.”

We don’t know yet why the administration made this move or if there is some mitigating circumstance that would make it seem less terrible. As it stands now, however, many survivors, their families, and just plain regular Americans simply cannot fathom how such a deal would ever be negotiated.
