‘Silo’ Season 3

What to Watch

Graham Yost’s hit dystopian drama Silo — based on Hugh Howey’s bestselling book trilogy — is back for its highly-anticipated third season on Apple TV. And dare I say, this is its best season yet. For those who need a refresher, Season 2 ended with a brief flashback that introduced us to Congressman Daniel Keene (Ashley Zuckerman) and journalist Helen Drew (Jessica Henwick) in pre-apocalyptic Washington D.C. Season 3 ambitiously explores that crucial timeline, brilliantly toggling between Juliette Nichols’ (Rebecca Ferguson) Silo 18 story and the “Before Times.” As Silo goes full political thriller, the show not only answers some of its core questions (Who built the silo? How? And why?!) but introduces a number of new characters who are essential to the story. Three seasons deep, Silo remains a captivating sci-fi marvel that stresses the importance of pursuing truth. In today’s crowded TV landscape it offers reliably stellar performances, gripping writing, and a singular viewing experience.
