Live: Piastri starts fourth in F1 Canada GP as Mercedes teammates resume battle

Oscar Piastri starts on the second row of the grid for this morning’s Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix. 

Piastri will start alongside McLaren teammate Lando Norris, while George Russell and Kimi Antonelli start on the front row for Mercedes.

The Mercedes teammates will resume their battle after coming together during yesterday’s sprint race.

There is a threat of rain as well to add more drama to the grand prix.

There is rain in Montreal

We could be in for our first wet race of the season — and the first of the new regulation era.

There is rain around Montreal, and some of it has already fallen.

The drivers have been out on their parade lap with the fans, and they were well rugged up.

Pole sitter George Russell looked like he needed a cuppa and a good book.
