‘Marty, Life Is Short’

Hey, so I’m just going to let you know that if you even try to start Marty, Life Is Short without a box of tissues nearby, you might need to rethink your choices. Why do I say this? Oh, because that’s exactly what happened to me as I found myself sobbing my way through this new Netflix documentary. There is an age-old adage that says something to the effect of, “It doesn’t matter what happens to you, it only matters how you respond to it.” I say this because there is no person who better embodies this saying than Martin Short. A truly beautiful story about the resilience of the human soul and the power of the heart. It’s tragic and wonderful at the same time and it’s a perfect way to spend an hour and a half.
