Max Gawn only had to put boot to ball from a metre out to kick the Demons’ latest major.

Jacob van Rooyen marked and played on to Jack Steele, who unselfishly handed off to Gawn to put the icing on the cake.

The Eagles have already lost Harry Edwards for the match, and now there is concern over Harley Reid.

Reid left the field for medical attention on a lower-limb issue.

The slow start to the second quarter continues …
