‘The Devil Wears Prada’

The original The Devil Wears Prada came out twenty years ago and instantly became a modern classic that will never go out of style. Anne Hathaway stars as Andi Sachs, an aspiring journalist who lands in New York City without a gig at one of the Big Apple’s many major papers. The one job she does somehow land? Junior assistant to the iconic Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep), editor-in-chief of Runway, the most important fashion magazine. When it initially came out, The Devil Wears Prada drew attention as a thinly-veiled takedown of Vogue EIC Anna Wintour. However, it’s now beloved for its sharp satiric script, delicious fashion montages, and introducing American audiences to Emily Blunt.
