It didn’t lead to a goal, but this was some leap from Aaron Naughton.
Brody Grundy kicks the Swans further in front
As the game has gone on, Grundy’s dominance has increased. He’s owning the ruck battle against two young Bulldogs opponents and is now proving a force in the air at either end of the ground too.
He floated forward into space and was well found by Papley. Strong mark, straight kick, Swans by 21.
Goalless through the first minutes of the third
The Bulldogs Class of 2016 are here

It’s reunion time for the 2016 premiership Bulldogs, who are celebrating together tonight as the club faces its opponent in that famous grand final. Even the blokes who are currently playing at other clubs – Josh Dunkley, Jake Stringer, Jack Macrae and Caleb Daniel – have fronted up for this one, which I imagine could get a little rowdy as the night progresses.
What a thrilling story those Dogs were in September 2016. A premiership certainly worth remembering and celebrating.
Charlie Curnow has four and he’s pumped up
The Bulldogs are doing fine in this game, right up until the point they need to try to defend either of the Sydney key forwards. They simply don’t have the cattle to handle them tonight.
Khamis is getting dominated by Curnow at the moment, who took another strong grab and nailed another goal. He’s got three in this term and could have had more.
Cooper Hynes drills one for the Bulldogs!

The Lizard giveth and the Lizard taketh away.
He’s been excellent so far tonight, Nick Blakey, highlighted by his brilliant four-bounce run up the wing a couple of minutes ago. But he bit off a very aggressive kick out of defence into the corridor and didn’t quite pull it off. The Dogs turned it over, found Hynes by hand and let him do the rest. A costly one for the Swans.
Gorgeous finish from Joel Amartey and the Swans kick ahead
The two Sydney spearheads have three each now and the Doggies’ great defensive fears are being realised. Amartey read that ball so much better than Khamis and took a strong mark.
But the set shot from 45 out on an angle was a beauty. Couldn’t have struck it any better.
Charlie Curnow has a third and is looking dangerous
Could be a breakout night for Charlie the Swan here tonight. He is looking imperious against these Bulldogs defenders, who are at a bit of a loss at the moment.
That was such a needless free kick to give away by Gardner, who held Curnow so far off the ball. He snaps his set shot again and nails it again.
Marcus Bontempelli hits the scoreboard! Dogs back in front

It wasn’t pretty, surge footy really from the Bulldogs as they forced the ball forward with numbers. But crucially the move ended up with the ball in the hands of the right man.
Bontempelli cruised into position and snapped comfortably from 30 out. He’s having another stellar game.
Charlie Curnow has another for the Swans
Curnow spilled a mark a few moments ago that he should have taken, but made up for it with that juggling effort back with the flight. Read that one so well.
He snaps the goal to make it two for the night so far, and that understrength Bulldogs backline is already looking stretched.
Nick Blakey and Will Lewis involved in some scraps

Lewis hit Blakey late after a kick a few moments ago, and surprisingly a down-field free wasn’t paid. Can think of a few players in the league who wouldn’t have got away with that.
Shortly after Blakey stopped and dropped an elbow into Lewis, who stayed down for quite a while. A 50m penalty was awarded to the Bulldogs as Lewis got his breath back. He seemed to be suggesting he may have copped one ever so slightly below the belt.
Ed Richards responds to restore the Bulldogs’ lead
James Jordon didn’t need to hold Richards in that contest as the Swans had the numbers, and Grundy looked set to swallow up an intercept mark.
But hold him he did, which gave Richards a relatively simple look at goal. It was a chance he gladly took.
Number two for Joel Amartey ties the game
We are all square now as Amartey drills a set shot for his second in a handful of minutes.
The Swans are starting to get their ball movement going from half-back, moving end to end with relative ease. Whether it’s by hand or long kicks to contests, the Bulldogs aren’t able to slow the momentum defensively.
Joel Amartey! Threads the needle somehow!

A cheeky little snap from Amartey off a step from the tightest angle, somehow that ball has snuck through.
Amartey was in the right place at the right time when Busslinger failed to kill the contest, but the snap was a thing of beauty.
Charlie Curnow gets the Swans on the board
Best passage of the game so far for the Swans. They took the ball through the middle from half-back and unleashed Blakey at full throttle. His long kick got out the back where Curnow was able to mark and goal.
They needed that a little bit, and that sort of goal sends a warning to the Bulldogs.
Three in a row for the Bulldogs! Josh Dolan the latest
Riley Bice just forgot how to kick a football for a split second. He’s come up with a shocker of a turnover, somehow kicking it about two metres directly to the man in front of him who swiftly sent it forward to Dolan inside 50.
He makes it three from three from a set shot for the Bulldogs, who are flying early. They’ve got the jump.
Will Lewis kicks a second for the Bulldogs
Marcus Bontempelli is playing behind the ball here. He’s starting in the middle and then drifting to half-back, playing as a loose man and as a quarterback. He’s set up the first two goals with his delivery inside 50.
Lewis took a good mark and converted from the arc. But Dean Cox has to do something about the Bont.
