Shrinking capped off another hilarious, heartfelt season with one of 2026’s best TV episodes yet. Season 3, Episode 11, “And That’s Our Time,” showed the comedy’s core characters — yes, even Jimmy (Jason Segel) — finally moving forward. Season 3’s penultimate episode featured an Emmy-worthy performance from Segel as Jimmy navigated intense feelings around Alice (Lukita Maxwell) leaving for college, his father (Jeff Daniels) failing to step up and meet his emotional needs, and his mentor Paul (Harrison Ford) moving to Connecticut. But in Season 3’s finale, with both Paul and Alice on the East Coast and his friends celebrating exciting opportunities, Jimmy had a choice: “Either stay stuck, or go make some new scars.” (When you watch, you’ll understand that iconic quote.) “And That’s Our Time” will make you laugh, cry, listen to Brandi Carlile on a loop, want to launch Emmy campaigns for Ford/Segel, and wonder where the heck Shrinking and its talented team are taking us in Season 4. This show is an absolute gem, and we can all breathe a sigh of relief knowing we don’t have to say goodbye yet.
