‘Rooster’ Episode 5 “Mr. Razzles”

Last weekend, HBO’s hit comedy Rooster saw Greg (Steve Carell) ditch Walt’s (John C. McGinley) faculty party to get a taste of the college experience he never had. He played beer pong with Tommy (Maximo Salas) and his friends, smoked some pot, and had an unintentional Dwight Schrute moment as he wallowed to R.E.M.’s “Everybody Hurts.” And this weekend? He’s on his best behavior, trying to keep his cool while his ex-wife Beth (Connie Britton) is on campus for a special dedication ceremony. The official synopsis for Season 1, Episode 5, “Mr. Razzles,” teases that “Greg starts to backslide into old habits,” so we can’t wait to learn more about his lingering feelings and complex divorce dynamic with Beth. And also, we can’t wait to see Britton, a TV icon, back on our screens acting opposite her Seeking a Friend for the End of the World co-star Carell and reuniting with creator Bill Lawrence 30 years after Spin City premiered.
