‘Your Friends And Neighbors’ Renewed For Season 3 at Apple TV Ahead of Season 2’s Release

The theme song of Your Friends and Neighbors may imply that you can’t keep up with the Joneses, but you’re going to have to do your best, as the Apple TV+ drama starring Jon Hamm has already been picked up for a Season 3!

Ahead of Season 2’s release in April, the streaming service on Monday released a brand-new teaser trailer and announced that Johnathan Tropper‘s dramedy — which follows Hamm’s character navigating life after being let go from his high-powered hedge fund job — will return to the fictional Westmont Village, New York, for a third season.

No release date yet for Season 3, but Tropper and Hamm — who doubles as executive producer on the project — managed to turn around the second season in less than a year, something they were able to do thanks to an early Season 2 renewal.

At the time, Hamm told DECIDER that the early pick-up allowed them to focus on the story and work on getting another season out in a timely manner, and that it reassured the entire team of Apple TV’s support on the project.

“It’s a great honor to be picked up so early in the existence of the show, it says a lot. It’s the first time Apple has really done that. It definitely is a feather in our cap and also a nod to the fact that we completed our assignment in a very compelling way,” Hamm said.

With Season 3 now in the bag, too, it appears Apple TV is all in on this little show!

According to the streamer, Season 2 will follow Andrew “Coop” Cooper (Hamm) as he “doubles down on his life as an unlikely suburban thief, until the arrival of a new neighbor threatens to expose his secrets and place his family at risk.”

That neighbor appears to be played by Paradise Emmy nominee James Marsden, who joins the cast alongside returning suburbanites Amanda Peet, Olivia Munn, Hoon Lee, Mark Tallman, Lena Hall, Aimee Carrero, Eunice Bae, Isabel Gravitt, and Donovan Colan.

Season 2 make its debut on Apple TV with one episode on April 3, followed by new episodes every Friday through June 5. Season 1 of Your Friends and Neighbors is now streaming on Apple TV.
