What else will Netflix subscribers have to say goodbye to in February? Here’s everything you need to know about what movies and shows are leaving Netflix in February 2026!

Why Does Netflix Remove Movies and Shows?

It’s complicated, but here’s our best shot at explaining why this happens: Netflix has spent tens of billions of dollars since its inception to build up their library of shows and movies that they own either outright or control for a long stretch of time, commonly known as Netflix Originals. Everything else on the service has been licensed from another studio or production company, some of whose business interests align with Netflix, and some of whose compete directly with Netflix. As the tectonic plates of the streaming industry continue to shift, Netflix is either gaining or losing the rights to house these movies and shows on their service. Once a month, Netflix sends out a list of everything that is going to expire from their service so their customers can plan accordingly.
