What to Watch

Three new, unexpected guests will be checking into The White Lotus Hotel.

Variety reports Helena Bonham Carter, Chris Messina and Marissa Long have been added to the cast of The White Lotus Season 4.

These are the latest celebs to join the cast of Mike White‘s hit HBO series, which will be taking place in France this upcoming season. Steve CooganAlexander Ludwig, Caleb Jonte Edwards and AJ Michalka will also star.

Filming is expected to begin in late April, lasting through October. Details regarding characters and plot are being kept under wraps, as is customary for the critically acclaimed series, but there is speculation that the Cannes Film Festival may be featured in Season 4.

Deadline reports White and HBO chose the luxurious Château de La Messardière as the setting for next season. The 19th century palace is perched above Saint-Tropez on the Côte d’Azur, on a sprawling property of 32 acres.

The White Lotus will be Long’s television debut.

The third season of The White Lotus brought guests to a luxury hotel in Thailand where the staff and guests navigate greed, lust, spirituality and more, until a shooting rocks the resort.

After Season 3, White told Deadline he was hoping to take the series in a different direction with Season 4.

“For the fourth season, I want to get a little bit out of the crashing waves of rocks vernacular, but there’s always more room for more murders at the White Lotus hotels,” he said.

The series has earned a total of 16 Emmy wins after 66 total nominations, in addition to two Golden Globe Awards.

The White Lotus is streaming now on HBO.
