‘Best Medicine’

FOX’s new dramedy Best Medicine is just what the doctor ordered. The new take on the British series Doc Martin follows Dr. Martin Best (Josh Charles), who makes the move from Boston to Port Wenn, Maine to become the town’s general practitioner. While Charles delivers as the crotchety and surprisingly hemophobic doctor, the quaint town’s quirky residents—played by network TV vets like Abigail Spencer, Annie Potts, Josh Segarra, Jason Veasey, and Cree— gives the show its edge of silly spunk, establishing itself as a community of characters you want to continue spending time with.
