‘Home Alone 2: Lost in New York’

As John Mulaney once said, “Lost in New York? How you get lost in New York? The streets are numbered.” Sure, it’s a def-jam style take on Kevin McAllister’s predicament in Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, but it still makes me look forward to watching this holiday movie even more every year. Everyone knows that it’s rare a movie has a good sequel, and even more infrequent when it’s a follow-up to a holiday movie. Lost in New York just so happens to be the exception, not the rule. In fact, it is so monumental for me that when I was a kid, it was my biggest dream in the world to eat a pizza in the back of a limousine and that is because of this movie. Who am I kidding? It’s still a dream. Nostalgia and fun from start to finish.
