‘Jay Kelly’
Directed by Noah Baumbach, who co-wrote the script with Emily Mortimer (who also appears in the film), Jay Kelly—now streaming on Netflix—stars George Clooney as a self-centered movie star faced with the sobering realization that after a lifetime of choosing himself over others, he has no one left in his corner. The only exception? His devoted manager Ron, played by Adam Sandler in a heart-wrenching, Oscar-worthy performance. But even Ron is on his last straw of dealing with Jay’s narcissism. Baumbach is the master of funny, heartfelt, and relatable dramas, and Jay Kelly is exactly that.
