Vince Gilligan hive, rise! The Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul creator is back with Pluribus, an exemplary new Apple TV series that’s destined to become your next streaming obsession. When the genre-bending show finds nearly all humans infected with happiness after an extraterrestrial event, the most miserable person on Earth, Carol Sturka (Rhea Seehorn), sets out to save the world from joy. The powerhouse pilot, one of 2025’s best episodes, takes the unsettling form of a mini horror movie. But in true Gilligan fashion, the series strikes a remarkable balance between drama and comedy.
