If you haven’t yet had a good scare this spooky season, good news: Shelby Oaks, the brand new, found-footage horror movie opening theaters weekend, promises to scare the pants off audiences.

Written and directed by Chris Stuckmann in his feature directorial debut—with Netflix horror king Mike Flanagan serving as an executive producer—Shelby Oaks follows a paranormal investigation team called the Paranormal Paranoids. Camille Sullivan stars Mia Brennan, a woman determined to track down her missing sister, played by Sarah Durn. The Shelby Oaks cast also includes Brendan Sexton III, Keith David, Robin Bartlett, and Michael Beach.

Featuring a fictional series of online found-footage videos, this movie is sure to send a chill down your spine. For maximum scare potential, you should probably see Shelby Oaks on the big screen. But if you’d rather wait to watch it at home than go to a movie theater, read on to find out what we know about when we expect to be able to watch the Shelby Oaks movie on stream.

Where to watch the Shelby Oaks movie:

Shelby Oaks will only available to watch in a movie theater, when it opens in the U.S. in theaters on Friday, October 24. You can find a showing near you via Fandango. Shelby Oaks is not yet available to watch online or on streaming.

Is the 2025 Shelby Oaks movie streaming on Netflix or Amazon Prime Video?

Shelby Oaks is not streaming on Netflix and likely will not be on Netflix any time soon, due to the fact that the film is a Neon release, and most Neon movies stream on Hulu, not Netflix, thanks to the Neon and Hulu output deal. Shelby Oaks will be available to buy or rent on Amazon Prime after the movie is released on digital, but it will not be available to stream for free with a Prime subscription any time soon, because it is not a Prime original.

If you want to watch Shelby Oaks movie at home, you’ll have to wait for the film to be available to buy or rent on digital platforms, or wait for it to stream on Hulu.

The Shelby Oaks Hulu release date has not yet been announced, but we can make an educated guess based on previous Neon releases on Hulu. Another Neon movie, Hell of a Summer, began streaming on Hulu about five months after it opened in theaters. If Shelby Oaks  follows a similar release pattern, you may see Shelby Oaks on Hulu around late March 2026. On the other hand, another Neon release, It Lives Inside, began streaming on Hulu just three months after opening in theaters—so it’s not a hard and fast rule.
