Donald Trump claimed he was unfamiliar with a pair of businessmen who worked with his attorney and were indicted Thursday for alleged campaign finance violations, despite appearing in a photo with them last year at the White House.

‘I don’t know them,’ he insisted as he left Washington for Minneapolis.

Trump noted that he apparently took a photograph with the men—Rudy Giuliani—but claimed he doesn’t know anything about them.

‘I have pictures with everybody. I don’t know if there’s anybody I don’t have pictures with,’ he said. ‘I don’t know them. I don’t know about them. I don’t know what they do.’

Reminded that they were clients of Giuliani, he again distanced himself from the men who donated $325,000 to a Super PAC supporting him.

‘Maybe they were clients of Rudy. You’d have to ask Rudy. I just don’t know,’ he told journalists assembled on the South Lawn.

WNU Editor: Is it me, or is the timing of these arrests a little bit suspicious. They are claiming that they were not aware on how election financing works in the U.S.. I say …. ignorance of the law s no excuse. Bottom line, we will know their fate when they go to trial in a year or two.
